... while Googling Stephens & Michaels, I found something interesting. In 2002, the federal government -- through the Small Business Administration -- gave Stephens & Michaels Associates a $708,000 Certified Development Company Loan. The SBA says the purpose of such a loan is "to assist small businesses in the acquisition of land and buildings; the construction, expansion, renovation or modernization of buildings; or the acquisition and/or installation of machinery and equipment."
